Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery to assist in construction, logistics, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, and related skills such as skid steer operation. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and skid steers to perform site preparation, material movement, and other operational tasks
- Safely load and unload freight using appropriate machinery and techniques
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain equipment functionality
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators
- Ability to operate equipment safely in various environmental conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks as needed
- Prior experience with industrial or construction sites is advantageous
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
