Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-level Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their accounting and bookkeeping skills within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will support daily financial operations, assist with data entry, and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.
The Accounts Clerk processes and maintains Accounts Payable transactions and supports the payroll process of the Finance Department. Attention to detail is critical to success.

You are detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and data. You are self-directed and can work alone, but also with a team. Your friends describe you as logical, a problem-solver and curious about measuring, calculating and understanding systems.
Responsibilities
- reconcile worker timesheets, work schedules and mileage claims submitted from frontline staff against database records; follow-up with discrepancies to ensure that all financial files are accurate
- process timesheets and related claims as part of the bi-weekly payroll process
- record Accounts Payable transactions, prepare and record payments
- participate and assist in the annual financial audit process and other department initiatives., as needed.
- ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards during daily operations
Qualifications
- Community College diploma including courses in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with the public and as a team member.
- English verbal and written language skills are mandatory; French is desired.
- Must have a vulnerable police record check within the most recent 6 months.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
- Proof of up-to-date adult vaccinations, including a primary series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada as well as a recent TB test showing negative results (or chest x-ray.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Pay: From $26.20 per hour
