Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Team Member to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Assist with food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure food safety compliance
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at the end of shifts
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving and other duties as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
