Golden Nations Souvenir Sales Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our growing human resources team. This role is ideal for a skilled HR professional who can confidently support a dynamic, multi-faceted workforce across our retail, warehouse, and administrative operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving organizational growth by managing core HR functions, providing strategic HR guidance to management, and contributing to the development of effective workplace policies and employee engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment processes using modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to support business expansion.
- Management Advisory: Provide professional HR advice and guidance to management on employee relations, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- HRIS Management: Oversee HRIS and workforce management systems to ensure accurate employee records and streamlined HR operations.
- Payroll & Time Tracking: Administer payroll processes, including attendance tracking and data verification, ensuring timely and accurate compensation.
- Policy Development: Support the development, implementation, and communication of company HR policies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Employee Relations: Facilitate conflict resolution, address workplace concerns, and foster a positive, high-performance work environment.
- Training & Growth: Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance employee product knowledge, operational efficiency, and career development.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and other applicable regulations.
- Data & Analytics: Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, warehouse, and administrative leadership to support ongoing business operations and workforce stability.
Qualifications
- Education: A university degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in HR operations with hands-on knowledge of HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., ADP, Ceridian, or equivalent).
- Recruitment Skills: Demonstrated experience in full-cycle talent acquisition using modern ATS platforms.
- Legislation Knowledge: Strong, practical understanding of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to collaborate and build trust across multiple corporate departments.
- Discretion: Exceptional judgment with a proven track record of maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive HR matters.
- Asset: A CHRP/CHRL designation (or currently in progress) is considered a strong asset but is not mandatory.
