We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Newborn and Baby Childcare Provider to support families by providing exceptional care for infants and young children. In this vital role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes healthy development, comfort, and happiness. Currently hiring caregivers for daytime shifts, as well as longer overnight shifts with newborns. Flexible hours with four hour minimum shifts, and the ability to set your own schedule. Must have a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care to newborns and babies, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for infants’ dietary requirements, including bottle feeding and solid foods as appropriate
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing regular cleaning of toys, changing tables, and caregiving areas
- Assist with daily routines such as diaper changing, bathing, dressing, and soothing distressed children
- Engage children with age-appropriate activities that support their physical, cognitive, and emotional development
- Support parents with light caregiving tasks, including teaching basic skills or routines to foster independence
- Follow all safety protocols and health guidelines to ensure a secure environment for children
Requirements
- Proven experience working with infants, babies, or young children in a caregiving or teaching capacity
- Ability to prepare meals and handle meal preparation for children with special dietary needs
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, demonstrating adaptability and patience
- Strong skills in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards within childcare settings
- Demonstrated caregiving skills combined with a positive, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific activities that promote learning and growth
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held, as well as a current security clearance for working with the vulnerable sector
Pay: $20.00 per hour
