We are a leading pharmacy dedicated to providing customized medications for our patients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing compounded medications according to established formulas and procedures. This role requires precision, accuracy, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards in pharmaceutical compounding.
Job Description:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining inventory
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Label and organize medication containers
- Enter prescription information into computer systems
- Provide customer service to patients and answer their questions regarding medications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
- Assist pharmacists in compounding medications following precise formulas and protocols.
- Measure, mix, and combine ingredients accurately to prepare compounded medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the compounding area, equipment, and supplies.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations for handling pharmaceuticals and hazardous materials.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in compounded medications.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to compounding practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Kroll Experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Ability to work well in a team environment

The Pharmacy Assistant will primarily be responsible for supporting the pharmacists in the dispensing of medications and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
