Key Duties & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team! Your responsibilities will be to:
- Manage appointments and schedules for client selections, provide accurate documentation, notify appropriate parties.
- Guide clients through the New Home Design Centre by balancing the clients budget while providing all possible options.
- Choose feature home interior selections that are current and meet our target demographic.
- Conduct presale tours and complete pricing requests for potential customers.
- Manage customer files including answering questions from the trades, internal departments, processing change orders and product reselection as necessary.
- Support the sales team by providing accurate quotes for point of sale estimates.
- Complete accurate documentation and corresponding details on all client files.
- Develop strong knowledge base in current interior design trends and customer needs.
- Attend showhome walkthroughs to ensure accurate installation and to become familiar with final product.
- Walk through client homes to ensure accurate installation and note potential product/installation concerns.
- Perform other associated duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications: The ideal candidate:
- Has a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with a Production builder.
- Adept at reading and interpreting Blueprints.
- Must work well within a high functioning team; demonstrate interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate a passion for exceptional customer service, always representing the company brand and culture in a positive manner.
- Is process orientated - have the ability to remain and stay highly organized, meet deadlines and be self-motivated/innovative.
- Show a high attention to detail, be proactive in learning new skills and adapting to changing priorities.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Is an accomplished multi-tasker, with the ability to switch between tasks as necessary to ensure there is a balance between ever-changing priorities and competing urgencies.
- Be proficient in MS Office and additional relevant software applications; experience with HomeFront, Sketch-Up, AutoCAD would be considered an asset.
- Has an interest in Residential Interior Design and GED; Residential Design/Construction experience; Diploma/Degree in Interior Design an asset.
- Has reliable transportation.
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
