Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, project management, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The Mechanical Estimator will collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver comprehensive proposals that meet project specifications and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical cost estimates for construction projects using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to accurately assess scope of work.
- Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis for mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to discuss project requirements and negotiate terms.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Assist in the review of subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to optimize project costs.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure accurate estimations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within the mechanical trades.
- Proficiency with Fastpipe, Accubid, and other estimating or project management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles related to construction projects is a plus.
- Relevant experience in the construction industry or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $75,092.96-$95,130.73 per year
