Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely and efficiently using appropriate tools
- Install new auto glass, ensuring proper fitment and secure adhesion
- Inspect vehicles for additional damages or issues related to the windshield or windows
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to complete installations or repairs
- Follow safety protocols during all procedures, including heavy lifting when handling large glass components
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service details and timelines
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and product updates to ensure high-quality service
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools proficiently
- Experience with heavy lifting required for handling large or heavy auto glass components
- Strong understanding of automotive systems related to windshield installation and repair
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise installation and customer satisfaction
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
