Civil Construction Foreman
Highroad Excavating is looking for an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to join our team.
We're an established Lower Mainland civil contractor with a strong team, a wide range of projects, and steady work. We're looking for someone who knows civil construction, takes pride in running a good job, and wants to be part of a company where experienced people are trusted to do what they do best.
This isn't a position where you're expected to simply follow instructions and push production. We're looking for a foreman who can take ownership of their work, lead their crew, solve problems in the field, and work alongside our Project Managers and Superintendents to get the job done properly.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and coordinating civil construction crews
- Planning daily work and keeping projects moving efficiently
- Coordinating operators, pipe layers and labourers
- Working from civil drawings, grades and specifications
- Coordinating equipment, materials and deliveries
- Maintaining quality, production and safety expectations
- Communicating with Project Managers, Superintendents, inspectors and other trades
- Identifying field issues and helping develop practical solutions
- Building a productive crew and maintaining a positive jobsite
What We're Looking For
- Strong civil construction experience
- Previous foreman or crew-lead experience
- Experience with underground utilities, excavation, grading and site servicing
- Ability to read civil plans and understand grades and elevations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Someone who is organized, dependable and takes ownership of their work
- Valid driver's licence
- A practical, safety-minded approach to getting work done
