Insulator - Temporary
Are you ready to put your industrial skills to work in a role that keeps operations running safely and efficiently? We are looking for motivated Insulators to join our team and support our refinery operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of insulation in accordance with industry standards, applicable codes, and Owner/User requirements. This is your opportunity to make an impact while working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment with a team committed to excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
-
Interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine the types of materials and equipment to use and plan the required tasks

Knowledge of construction terminology
-
Read and understand the work permits
-
Basic rigging knowledge
-
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and maintains housekeeping of job site.

Returns all tools and materials used by the crew to the proper place at the end of shift.
-
Must fully participate in the safety assessment of the job and completion of JSA’s.

Fully participate in health, safety, quality and environmental processes.
Required qualifications Trades:
-
Candidate must have a Journeyperson or, Red Seal certification.

Insulation Trade Certification
-
National Insulation Association (NIA) - ATSM Insulation Standards
-
Familiar with applicable INDUSTRY codes and standards
-
Valid Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Powerline Hazard and WHMIS certificates
-
Industrial experience
-
Ability to adhere to company safety policies and procedures
-
Working at heights and confined spaces
-
Able to wear a respirator for duties as required

Able to pass pre-employment requirements
-
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills
Physical Demands:
-
Regular lifting/moving up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting/moving >50 lbs.

Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
-
Frequent bending, stretching, twisting, standing, walking, and climbing.
-
Use of hand tools requiring precision and balance; work on ladders/scaffolding.

Exposure to loud noises and potential environmental hazards.
