Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse & Customer Service Associate to support our daily warehouse operations while providing exceptional service to our customers. This role plays a key part in shipping and receiving, inventory management, order preparation, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
In addition to warehouse duties, this role assists customers with order pickups, product inquiries, estimates, invoicing, and payment processing—all while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments and inventory.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain organized storage areas and proper product placement within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and general housekeeping standards.
Customer Service and Order Processing:
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers picking up orders.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and order preparation.
- Prepare customer estimates and process orders through the company’s sales or inventory system.
- Generate invoices and process payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
Equipment and Manufacturing Support:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Operate basic CNC equipment or shop machinery when required (training provided).
- Assist with handling and preparing materials such as rubber curbs, signage, and pails of traffic paint.
- Perform general warehouse and shop support duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or customer service experience an asset.
- Forklift certification is an asset (training may be provided).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to [X] lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
