Airdrie Drug Mart is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and enthusiastic Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. Opportunity to grow within our pharmacy, with the potential to transition into a full-time role in the future based on performance and business needs.
The scope of this role includes filling and labeling medication, receiving orders, performing inventory counts, confirming deliveries, preparing invoices, maintaining patient accounts, and answering phones.

Qualifications:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ Gather and enter patient information in computer system
⦁ Responsible for accurate processing of prescriptions, including new prescription data entry, processing refills, picking/labelling/packaging of medications, insurance submission, and preparation of prescriptions for delivery and pick up
⦁ Blister packaging
⦁ Maintaining accurate drug inventory including purchasing and receiving medications and supply items, rotating stock, checking expiration dates, and performing scheduled inventory counts
⦁ Place and receive orders for stick and maintain inventory
⦁ Provide exemplary service to patients, physicians, other health care professionals and the general public
⦁ Adherence to all relevant guidelines including policies, standard operating procedures and any applicable regulatory requirements as set out by the provincial regulatory body
⦁ Responsible for the safe and appropriate storage of medications, including knowledge of and adherence to cold chain procedures
⦁ Prepare and settle third party insurance claims and records
⦁ Proactively problem solve third party insurance issues to ensure timely processing of prescription claims
⦁ Supports the Pharmacist in delegated tasks as directed
⦁ Cash duties
⦁ Provide superior patient service to every patient
⦁ Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
⦁ Other duties as required
Skills:
Language Requirement: Applicants must be fluent in English (spoken and written). Proficiency in Spanish/ Filipino is considered an asset.
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
