Casual Home Organizer & Cleaner — South Edmonton
Location: South Edmonton, AB Type: Casual, hourly (domestic employee) Pay: $18–20/hour, based on experienceHours: Approx. 5–10 hours/week to start, with potential for more hours as needs grow
About the Role
We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to help keep clients' homes clean, organized, and clutter-free on a casual, as-needed basis. This is a hybrid role — one visit might be focused on decluttering a closet or garage, the next on a deep clean of the kitchen and bathrooms. We need someone comfortable moving between these tasks and who takes pride in the result either way.
This starts as a casual arrangement based on current needs, with room to grow into more regular hours over time for the right person.
Responsibilities
- General home cleaning (kitchens, bathrooms, floors, dusting, surfaces)
- Decluttering and organizing rooms, closets, storage areas, and shared spaces
- Light tidying and reorganization to help maintain order between visits
- Sorting items for keep/donate/discard as directed
- Occasional errands related to organizing (e.g., drop-offs at donation centers), if applicable
What We're Looking For
- Experience in home cleaning, professional organizing, or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Trustworthy and comfortable working in an occupied private residence
- Good communication and reliability (showing up as scheduled, flexibility with timing)
- Own transportation to South Edmonton
Requirements
- Criminal Record Check required. Candidates must be willing to provide a valid Criminal Record Check (obtainable through Edmonton Police Service or an online provider) prior to starting. We're happy to discuss reimbursement of the check fee for the successful candidate.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Compensation & Terms
- $18–20/hour, paid as a casual domestic employee (Alberta Employment Standards)
- Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability
- Approximately 5–10 hours/week, with the possibility of additional hours over time
