Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Management Specialist under the Canada Summer Jobs program. This role is designed for individuals aged 18-30. The Disability Management Specialist will work closely with our administrative team to enhance individualized care and support for persons with developmental disabilities. This role focuses on the development, review, and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP's), as well as some possible direct shifts providing support to individuals in their daily activities and community involvement. The role may also include creating and/or updating wellness and behaviour support plans as needed. The successful candidate will contribute to improving quality of life by ensuring plans are person-centered, goal oriented, and aligned with best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Strong organizational and communication skills
-Interest and/or some education in social services, psychology, nursing or other health related fields.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
- Flexibility to adapt to both planning and direct support roles.
Pay: $18.30 per hour
