The Senior Director, Supply Chain is responsible for developing and leading the end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for a vertically integrated fresh produce business operating greenhouse, field, packaging, and distribution operations across Canada and the United States.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior Director, Supply Chain will oversee supply planning, strategic sourcing, inventory management, logistics, the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and master data management. The incumbent will lead a team of more than 30 employees (including eight direct reports), comprised of a director, managers, professionals, and technical specialists.
This role will serve as a key strategic partner in supporting the company’s ambitious growth strategy, including expanding production capacity, developing new greenhouse facilities, and entering new markets.

in building the infrastructure, processes, and capabilities required to support the company’s continued expansion, including its objective of doubling the business, expanding into new markets, optimizing working capital, and creating sustainable long-term value.
CORE RESPONSABILITIES
Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Build scalable processes, systems, and organizational capabilities to support rapid expansion.
- Lead organizational development, succession planning, and talent management within the supply chain function.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
- Act as a transformational leader to elevate the maturity of the supply chain organization.
Sales & Operations planning (S&OP)
- Lead the monthly S&OP process and ensure alignment among Sales, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Production.
- Improve forecast accuracy and planning discipline across the organization.
- Drive proactive capacity planning to support growth and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Develop scenario planning and risk mitigation strategies for supply and demand volatility.
- Improve alignment between customer demand and operational capabilities.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead sourcing strategies for packaging, greenhouse inputs, field production materials, ingredients, and indirect spend.
- Establish strategic supplier partnerships and negotiate favorable commercial agreements.
- Develop supply risk management and supplier diversification strategies.
- Identify and execute cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Optimize supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
Planning & Inventory Management
- Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management processes.
- Optimize inventory levels while maintaining customer service targets.
- Improve inventory turns and working capital performance.
- Implement tools and processes that enhance visibility and planning accuracy.
- Develop a proactive approach to managing excess inventory, waste, and perishable products.
Logistics & Distribution
- Lead transportation and distribution strategies across Canada and the United States, including the management of customs broker relationships.
- Optimize freight costs and network efficiency while maintaining service excellence.
- Ensure robust cold-chain management and product integrity throughout the distribution network.
- Support expansion into new markets and customer channels.
- Develop a network strategy that supports future growth.
Fresh Produce & Agricultural Supply Chain
- Collaborate closely with greenhouse and field operations to align production plans with customer demand.
- Develop strategies to maximize product availability while minimizing waste and shrink.
- Improve planning processes related to crop cycles, harvesting schedules, and perishability management.
- Ensure strong traceability and supply continuity across all operations.
- Support the improvement of forecasting and alignment between production, harvest planning, and customer demand.
Systems, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Champion the development and utilization of ERP, planning, and analytics tools.
- Establish meaningful KPIs and reporting for executive leadership and ownership.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, cost, inventory, and productivity.
- Leverage data analytics to improve decision-making and operational performance.
