Position: Development Project Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a Development Project Coordinator with an architectural background to support the planning, design, and execution of residential development projects. This role is ideal for someone who understands drawings and building design, but is looking to transition into a developer-side role with greater exposure to project coordination, approvals, and construction processes. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure projects move forward efficiently from design through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate with architects, planners, engineers, and other consultants to advance project design and approvals
· Assist in managing submission packages for Site Plan Approval (SPA), building permits, and other municipal processes
· Review architectural and consultant drawings for completeness, coordination, and buildability
· Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
· Support communication with municipalities, consultants, and internal stakeholders
· Assist in resolving design and coordination issues during both design and construction phases
· Participate in project meetings and maintain organized records of decisions and action items
· Support construction team with drawing clarifications and design coordination as required
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
· 2–4 years of experience in architecture, planning, or development-related roles
· Strong understanding of construction drawings and design coordination
· Familiarity with Ontario planning and approval processes (SPA, zoning, permits) is an asset
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; Revit is an asset
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working with real estate developers or consulting firms
· Knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC)
· Exposure to construction processes and site coordination
