Construction Project Coordinator – Custom Structural Builds
Surrey, BC | Full-Time | In-Person
About Us
BC Greenhouse Builders is a family-owned company founded in 1951 and a leading manufacturer of premium residential, estate, institutional, commercial, and specialty greenhouse structures.
We design and build highly customized structural systems that combine glazing, framing, foundations, fabrication, manufacturing, and installation. Our projects are complex, highly detailed, and rarely the same from one job to the next.
We are a people-first company committed to craftsmanship, practical problem-solving, and exceptional customer service.
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Construction Project Coordinator who understands how projects actually get built.
This role is ideal for someone with strong construction, fabrication, or industrial build experience who is ready to move into a broader project coordination role — or someone already coordinating projects who brings real-world field experience and practical construction knowledge.
You understand sequencing, site realities, trades, schedules, and problem-solving. You think in terms of solutions, not obstacles.
This is not a purely desk-based corporate project management role. While organization and planning matter, success in this role comes from practical experience, sound judgment, and the ability to coordinate moving parts in real time.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate projects from planning through completion
Review architectural drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
Work closely with fabrication, production, logistics, suppliers, installers, general contractors, architects, and engineering teams
Coordinate procurement, timelines, fabrication schedules, and shipping logistics
Manage RFIs, change orders, project updates, technical submittals, and documentation
Monitor budgets, costing, labour, materials, and project timelines
Solve problems quickly and proactively to keep projects moving forward
Communicate priorities clearly and coordinate internal teams toward deadlines
Assist with quality control, fabrication reviews, and installation readiness
Mentor and support other team members through knowledge-sharing and coaching
What We’re Looking For – Required Experience
2+ years of project coordination or project management experience in manufacturing, industrial builds, fabrication, structural systems, glazing, or construction
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction plans
Understanding of construction principles, sequencing, and project lifecycles
Experience coordinating multiple moving parts across production, trades, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
Strong practical problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset
Comfortable adapting quickly and making sound decisions under pressure
What We’re Looking For – Strong Assets (Preferred)
Experience with glazing systems, specialty glass, greenhouse structures, or structural builds
Background in framing, foundations, fabrication, or construction
Boots-on-the-ground construction experience — someone who has worn the toolbelt and understands field realities
Experience working with general contractors, architects, engineers, and trades
Basic AutoCAD experience
Familiarity with Salesforce or project tracking systems
Ability to coach and mentor other team members
You Might Be a Great Fit If :
You’ve spent years in construction, fabrication, or industrial builds and want to move into a larger-picture coordination role
You understand both field realities and deadlines
You naturally solve problems rather than get stuck in them
You enjoy coordinating moving pieces and helping teams succeed
PMP designation not required — practical experience, sound judgment, and construction knowledge matter more
What We Offer
