Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team and contribute to various building and renovation projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with a variety of tasks on-site, supporting the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of construction tools and techniques. Prior construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of job sites, ensuring safety and organization
- Use hand tools and power tools to support carpentry, framing, concrete and other construction activities
- Assist with restoration work and construction painting to meet project specifications
- Handle material movement and ensure proper storage of supplies on-site
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment,
- Experience in construction or related trades is preferred but not required; training available for motivated learners
- Familiarity with carpentry, caulking, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying is advantageous
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills such as restoration techniques or construction painting
