JOB SUMMARY
Disability Credit Canada has helped thousands of Canadians receive disability credits and benefits over the past 10 years. We are currently seeking an exceptionally organized and independent Client Support Specialist to join our Toronto team. In this role, you will serve as a critical point of contact, acting as a liaison between medical offices, professionals, and our clients, while seamlessly multitasking between high-level communications and detailed administrative work. The ideal candidate is a highly efficient problem-solver and a dedicated team player who possesses strong computer skills, a background in administration, and an interest or background in healthcare or the social sciences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, medical professionals, and healthcare offices to facilitate clear, timely, and professional communication.
- Drive client applications forward proactively, ensuring all necessary documentation and steps are meticulously managed through to successful completion.
- Handle inbound and outbound phone calls from clients professionally and empathetically.
- Utilize active listening and problem-solving skills to resolve client issues and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain organized records of client inquiries, issues, and resolutions.
- Document all client interactions and relevant information accurately in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues as an essential team player to ensure the highest level of service.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a client support, administrative, or customer service role.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in standard office applications; ability to manage tasks efficiently without the need to learn or use complex software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and data privacy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team player.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational background in Social Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with medical terminology or prior experience in a healthcare or clinical administrative setting.
- Familiarity with standard CRM software is a plus.
COMPENSATION
- Starting pay of $20 per hour.
BENEFITS & TERMS
- Employment Type: Initial 6-month contract with the intent to convert to a full-time, permanent position based on performance.
- Schedule: Work from our office Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm.
- Health Coverage: Upon conversion to a permanent role, health care benefits are fully paid by the employer. This includes dental care.
- Location: Toronto, ON M3J 2P6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required). PLEASE NOTE: Work from the office only, no remote work is permitted.
