About the Position
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Large Format Printer Operator / Graphic Production Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating large format printers and strong skills in Adobe Illustrator. This position is responsible for preparing artwork, operating printing equipment, producing high-quality graphics, and ensuring finished products meet our quality standards.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and can manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain large format digital printers and related production equipment
- Prepare and preflight artwork for print
- Create, edit, and modify files using Adobe Illustrator
- Set up files according to production specifications, including sizing, bleeds, cut lines, and scaling
- Perform colour checks and ensure accurate print output
- Print a variety of large-format graphics and signage
- Perform basic finishing tasks such as trimming, mounting, laminating, and cutting
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Troubleshoot basic printing and production issues
- Maintain organized production files and work areas
- Follow production schedules and meet deadlines
- Communicate with the production team regarding project requirements and priorities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of printing equipment
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Previous experience operating large format printers
- Strong understanding of print production and file preparation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand production specifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable and dependable
Preferred:
- Experience with large-format signage, vehicle graphics, banners, vinyl, decals, or similar products
- Experience with laminators, plotters, vinyl cutters, or finishing equipment
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or other Adobe Creative Cloud programs
- Experience with RIP software
- Experience in a sign shop, print shop, or graphic production environment

Physical Requirements
This is an active production position. The successful candidate must be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting and moving rolls of vinyl, paper, and other print media
- Handling large-format printed materials
- Repetitive cutting, trimming, and finishing tasks
- Working safely around production equipment
Experience
Large Format Printing: 1 year preferred
Adobe Illustrator: 1 year preferred
Graphic Production: 1 year preferred
