Overview
Canadian Technical Solutions Inc is a busy manufacturing company in Ayton, Ontario, that builds high quality specialty trailers. We are seeking motivated and versatile Skilled Labourers to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of building projects. As a Skilled Labourer, you will play a vital part in supporting the team and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your hands-on expertise and proactive attitude will help drive our projects forward with energy and precision.
Duties
- Assist with construction tasks including carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and finishing to support project timelines.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project specifications and layouts.
- Perform site preparation activities such as material handling, and site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
- Work with a high level of quality workmanship to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Assist with clean up before final inspection for delivery to client.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Experience with various trades such as carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), flooring installation, electrical and plumbing.
- Familiarity with construction management practices and inspection procedures to ensure quality control.
- Ability to perform detailed work such as caulking, door hanging, trim installation and cabinet installation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Nice-to-have skills include understanding of construction schematics; experience in fabrication; plumbing or electrical background.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
