If you share our values and would like to collaborate with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking an Exterior Maintenance Technician.
Reporting to the District Maintenance Manager and the Exterior Maintenance Lead, the Exterior Maintenance Technician will assist in the day-to-day operations of exterior maintenance of our Queen’s Marque District in downtown Halifax.
As Exterior Maintenance Technician, you will get to:
- Responding to water leaks, property damage and any other exterior district issues.
- Recording mechanical, electrical and water readings.
- Touring common exterior areas and keep areas free of litter/refuse and individuals soliciting from customers and or tenants.
- General presentation and maintenance of the district at a AAA standard, including but not limited to: using their own judgement or as directed by Employer.
- Responding and attending to internal/external inquisitions/maintenance requests.
- Involvement in coordinating and delivering guest services and amenities.
- Seasonal exterior maintenance including but not limited to the general landscaping, snow removal, salting exterior walkways and ensuring the safety of publicly trafficked areas
- Assisting with operational needs as management requires
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of assigned tasks, repairs, and maintenance activities completed, ensuring timely updates and quality assurance through Asana.
- Complying with policies and procedures for the operational requirements of the district.
- Such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in maintenance and upkeep within commercial and residential portfolios preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude paired with a passion for delivering the highest level of customer service.
- Experience maintenance work and repairs is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50lbs individually
- Lifting >50lbs with another person(s)
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Repetitive bending
- Climbing / work from ladders
- Working overhead
- Crouching / kneeling for extended periods of time
