About the Role
We are an omnichannel retail business seeking a careful, detail-driven Fulfillment Warehouse Associate to support daily operations during a team member’s leave of absence. This role is ideal for someone who takes genuine pride in handling products with precision and care — especially fragile, delicate, and specialty items that demand a light, controlled touch and an eye for detail.
If you’re someone who notices when a wrap isn’t quite right, double-checks every box before it’s sealed, and genuinely cares that each order arrives in perfect condition, we want to hear from you.
The Hands That Do This Job
Handling fragile and specialty products is the heart of this role. We are specifically looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience packing delicate, breakable, or high-value items — whether in retail, e-commerce, art handling, antiques, or a similar field
- A careful, methodical hand — someone who selects the right padding, wrap, and box for each item rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all approach
- A strong eye for detail: catching a missing item on a packing slip, noticing a product imperfection during receiving, or flagging a packing method that could cause transit damage
- The patience to do it right every time — not just most of the time
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment - The Core of This Role
The majority of your time will be spent packing customer orders with care and accuracy:
- Pack and prepare orders for shipping, with particular focus on fragile, delicate, and specialty items requiring careful handling and expert material selection
- Assess each item individually and select the appropriate packaging materials, cushioning, void fill, and sealing method to ensure safe transit
- Pick orders and verify contents line-by-line against packing slips or system prompts — accuracy is non-negotiable
- Follow on-screen WMS directions for task-specific packing and shipping instructions
Identify and resolve packing or order discrepancies before they become shipping errors
Inbound Receiving
- Assist with unloading and receiving incoming shipments
- Verify quantities and perform quality checks on inbound products
- Identify and document any discrepancies, damages, or shortages
Warehouse Operations
- Load, unload, and move products within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate inventory records using basic computer/WMS systems
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven, hands-on experience handling fragile, delicate, or specialty products with care and precision — this is the single most important qualification
- Background in retail fulfillment, e-commerce warehousing, or a similar packing-intensive environment
- Meticulous attention to detail: you catch errors before they leave the building
- Strong familiarity with order picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Basic computer skills: data entry, WMS/inventory software, email
- Ability to perform basic math for order verification and inventory counts
Assets
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Background in handling specialty or high-value products (e.g., ceramics, porcelains, jewellery, gifts)
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand for prolonged periods and remain focused and precise throughout a full shift
- Capable of lifting items safely as required by the role
- Comfortable working at a steady, controlled pace — speed matters, but accuracy comes first
Work Style
- Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Takes ownership of quality — you don’t need to be reminded to double-check your work
Communicates clearly when something looks off or needs a second opinion
Additional Information
- 3-month fixed term contract covering a leave of absence
- May lead to future opportunities depending on business needs

We thank all applicants; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
