Field Service Technician – Industrial Automation

This position requires the ability to provide field service support including installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. The successful candidate will diagnose technical issues, complete service documentation, and deliver timely, professional customer support while traveling throughout North America and Mexico.

Salary: $30+ per hour based on Experience
Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Travel: Some local & International Travel required. (Canada, US, Mexico). A valid passport is required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
- Managing all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions

- Document processes
- Operate vehicle in a safely manner and use field automation systems according to the Company’s standards
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with technical teams and share information across the organization
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Ability to travel throughout N.A. and Mexico.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 5+ years of previous experience reading, interpreting and following electrical power schematics and blueprints. Ability to read blueprints
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, panel controls and wiring, VFD drives, Servo drives, Servo Motors, PLC troubleshooting, Gear Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to us specific hand tools and power tools
Education:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electricians license required
