IS2 Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators for our automotive client located in St. Thomas, ON.
Location: St. Thomas, ON
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary Ongoing (with potential for hire)
Shifts Available:
- Days 7am-3:05pm and Afternoons 3pm-11:05pm rotating every 2 weeks
- Straight Nights Available 11pm-7:05am
Pay Rate: $20.60 per hour base pay
- Shift premium: $0.50/hour afternoon premium or $1.00/hour night premium
- OT: after 40 hours in a week
- DT: Sunday shifts
- Weekly pay
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Counterbalance natural gas powered 6000 and 8000 lb forklifts.
- Load, unload, move, and stage products and materials within the warehouse.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties.
- Accurately scan, label, and track inventory.
- Responsible for ensuring that all material is working a method of FIFO.
- Assist in restructuring storage locations, plant modifications and line staging requirements.
- Participate in corrective actions to problem solve and continuous improvement.
- Monitor, record and document any required data.
- Responsible for delivering information to the Team Leaders in terms of unexpected production changes.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months recent previous forklift operating experience required.
- Valid or previously expired forklift certification required (inhouse and external is accepted).
- Proven experience operating Counterbalance (natural gas powered) forklift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Able to pass a clean criminal background check.
- Must have 2 direct supervisor references to provide.
- Able to pass client forklift in house certification (theory, practical & medical).
