Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our landscaping team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscaping and gardening tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscape maintenance, and mechanical work, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a timely manner. Prior experience with construction equipment and tools is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow in the field.
Duties
- Mowing, trimming, and edging lawns to ensure a neat and attractive appearance
- Operating equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools for landscape projects
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems for efficient water management
- Pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth
- Performing general gardening tasks including planting, fertilizing, and weed control
- Conducting landscape maintenance activities such as mulching, aeration, and soil preparation
- Assisting with construction-related tasks like setting up outdoor structures or features
- Monitoring equipment performance and performing routine mechanical maintenance to ensure proper operation
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to landscaping equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with construction practices related to outdoor projects is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is advantageous
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for equipment operation or transportation purposes
