Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Roofer/Labourers to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects and general labor tasks on residential sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically capable of heavy lifting, and possess basic construction skills. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing and construction while contributing to quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up safety barriers
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or other construction activities as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in roofing and construction
- Prior construction or handyman experience is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
- Experience with carpentry tasks is a plus
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
