Paint Sales & Technical Representative - Southwestern Ontario & GTA
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Paint Sales & Technical Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers to provide expert advice on automotive and industrial paint products, delivering exceptional customer service, with an interest in driving continuous improvement and effective problem resolution.
The successful candidate will serve as Whitelaw's onsite representative, ensuring customer satisfaction with our automotive, industrial and paint products and delivering exceptional customer service, with an interest in driving continuous improvement.
As an ambitious leader, You’ll:
- Contribute to business objectives by developing territory market strategies.
- Expand your sales knowledge across commercial and industrial businesses.
- Support the growth of large, key and strategic B2B accounts across all of our automotive, commercial and industrial business segments.
- Familiarize yourself with all products, including their application and preparation and access product/technical information to support customers’ application requirements.
- Maintain effective communication with manager/owner on strategies and opportunities in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, potential, new and existing customers.
- Create a regular sales call schedule to ensure that the needs and expectations of the customer are met.
- Collect reliable customer/territory information and estimate individual customer potential.
- Support the ongoing activities of Whitelaw’s onsite at customer automotive facilities and communicate logically and with initiative to understand customer concerns, collect data, take appropriate actions, and provide timely problem resolution.
- Ensure accurate reporting to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- H.S. Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted, insurable, G Driver's License
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- 5+ years of customer experience, outside sales within the paint, mechanical and coatings industry and experience in automotive paint/coatings such as paint mixing, application, spray booth, or similar experience in industrial or OEM coatings.
- Thrives in a team-based environment, partnering with others to solve challenges.

The base salary range for this position is to be negotiated based on experience, with the possibility of an annual bonus. This role offers a blended salary and commission compensation plan.
