Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services & Chief Financial Officer, the Manager, Finance, Performance and Analytics supports the hospital's strategic objectives, performance reporting, financial planning, and operational management functions.
As a strategic partner to clinical, operational, and executive leaders, the Manager delivers financial and operational insights that support organizational performance, resource stewardship, and evidence-based decision-making. The role also strengthens reporting capabilities and looks to optimize resource utilization.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of leadership experience in healthcare.
- CPA designation considered an asset.
- Master's degree considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities
- Lead the annual operating and capital budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and long-range financial planning.
- Support the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Collaborate with regional partners to develop and enhance organizational dashboards, key performance indicators, and management reports to support evidence-informed decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze clinical activity, service utilization, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and resource requirements.
- Provide financial and analytical support for business cases, funding submissions, service reviews, and strategic initiatives.
- Promote continuous improvement in reporting, analytics, and performance measurement.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of Ontario Health, Ministry of Health, MIS, HCDS, and other funding, accountability, statutory, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), MIS Guidelines, Broader Public Sector (BPS) directives, Ministry requirements, and applicable regulatory, audit, tax, and reporting obligations as required.
- Oversee the Finance team, including financial planning, reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and other assigned finance functions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities consistent with the scope and classification of the position.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced expertise in financial planning and analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in performance reporting, healthcare funding, and resource management.
- Advanced digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analytic tools, Meditech and other hospital information systems is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Hours of Work: Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required as needed.
This is a temporary backfill position, with the expected end day of July 2027.
