We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician specializing in Truck & Trailer repairs to join our team in Abbotsford. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and restoring heavy-duty vehicles with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive repair professionals looking to advance their careers in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs on trailers and fleet vehicles.
- Conducted welding and fabrication of custom, trailers, and enclosures using MIG and TIG welding
- Prioritized customer satisfaction while maintaining good work habits and a keen eye for detail.
- Ensured high-quality custom orders, resulting in an increase in customer satisfaction.
- Contributed to team productivity by operating fabricating equipment effectively
- processes.
- Perform metal straightening, welding, grinding, sanding, and panel alignment.
- Remove and install body parts, glass, trim, and hardware.
- Paint fairings, panels, frames, accessories & body parts as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate repair needs and progress with management and team members.
- Ensure repairs meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards.
Experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and bodywork
- Experience using power tools for bodywork tasks
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Background in automotive or mechanic work is advantageous
- Familiarity with truck and trailer repair processes is a plus
