We are expanding at an incredible rate & looking for exceptional Regulated Pharmacy Technicians to join our growing team. We are a leading compounding pharmacy group with locations across Canada. We have expanded into a new world class facility in Port Coquitlam.
This position is for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician that will work with compounding personnel to produce high quality compounded products. We mostly service pharmacies, medical, and veterinary clinics, but also receive prescriptions from the general public for custom compounded products. This is strictly a lab-based role, as our call-centre provides all required telephone, and in-person customer service. Our facility is fully compliant with the NAPRA guidelines and offers sterile, non-sterile and hazardous compounding. Comprehensive training will be provided for the successful applicant. *** Must be a Regulated Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia or in the process of becoming regulated.***
Duties
1. Data Capturing & Entry:
- Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
2. Compounding Responsibilities:
- Non-Sterile Compounding: Prepare various types of non-sterile compounds, including but not limited to:
- Creams, ointments, and gels
- Suspensions and solutions
- Capsules and suppositories
- Sterile Compounding: Prepare sterile medications in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
3. Inventory & Stock Maintenance:
- Ensure all batched items are well-stocked and available for dispensing.
- Monitor and report any shortages or discrepancies in inventory levels.
4. Formula Management & Quality Control:
- Build and verify formulas using PK and Kroll software.
- Conduct final product checks to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to pharmaceutical standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for compounded medications.
- Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and compounding.
- Proficiency in Kroll software.
- Experience of using PK is an asset, but not required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and safety protocols.
- Regulated Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacy of BC.
