At JPAK Engineering Inc., we work on complex projects across oil & gas, midstream, power generation, and industrial manufacturing. Our work spans electrical design, control systems and automation, power infrastructure, and emerging energy technologies.
As a growing, privately owned engineering firm, JPAK gives EITs the opportunity to contribute across the project lifecycle, work directly with experienced engineers and leadership, and see their designs through to execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Create detailed CAD drawings, electrical schematics, layouts, schedules, and other design deliverables for client projects.
- Perform engineering calculations including amperage, voltage drop, short circuit, scaling, stress analysis, and PSV calculations such as block flow and fire case.
- Prepare and review engineering and construction documents including DBMs, scopes of work, Construction Work Packages, bid documents, and supporting project deliverables.
- Develop and maintain engineering workbooks including safety matrices and shutdown keys, instrument I/O lists, load lists, fugitive emissions studies, and calculation sheets.
- Develop control panel schematics, network diagrams, and control narratives, with opportunities to program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for process and safety automation.
- Participate in site visits to gather information, complete field markups, collaborate with operations and field personnel, inspect installations, witness FAT/CAT and relay testing, and assist with commissioning and walkdowns.
- Research equipment specifications, product manuals, and vendor documentation to determine proper application, wiring, and integration of devices into project designs.
- Support projects during construction by responding to RFIs and technical clarifications and working with contractors, vendors, operations personnel, and senior engineers to resolve issues.
- Contribute across the project lifecycle, gaining experience with both detailed engineering in the office and the installation and commissioning of designs in the field.
