Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning items, assembling ingredients, and organizing supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, floors, and storage spaces.
- Support the kitchen team by managing waste disposal and ensuring proper storage of food items.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Help with restocking supplies and organizing dishware for efficient service flow.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely cleaning schedules during busy service hours.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations.
