Southern Comfort Mechanical Inc. is a growing company and is currently seeking an experienced sheet metal installer to work in our Retrofit department. This position offers a wide variety of work including retrofit installs of furnaces, A/C, and geothermal, as well as complete installs in new high-end custom homes. . Our head office is located in Grande Pointe, but our jobsites are located within Winnipeg.

Responsibilities:
- Fabrication and installation of residential and light commercial ductwork
- Installation of in-floor (hydronic) heating piping
- New and retrofit geothermal installations
- Install HVAC equipment in custom homes and light commercial spaces
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, and site supervisors
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and high workmanship standards
Qualifications:
- At minimum a Level 2 sheet metal apprentice or higher
- Strong skillset in laying out complex ducting systems
- Residential HVAC installation experience
- Possess a valid and current driver’s license
- Must have reliable daily transportation to job sites within Winnipeg
- Professional communication and customer interaction skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and reliable
- Takes pride in quality craftsmanship
