Arcane Horizon is currently seeking a House Manager to join our management team. Reporting to the Coordinator of Support Services, the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Overseeing operations within a home and providing direct support to individuals with an intellectual disability
- Providing positive leadership and direction to the staff team
- Being an advocate for the people supported by the agency
- Researching and implementing activities
- Being a part of the agency’s emergency on-call rotation
- Attend and participate in annual individual planning sessions as required
- Perform crisis management as required
- Complete payroll, scheduling and other clerical duties
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a supported living setting is required
- A minimum of three years experience working in residential support situations required
- Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends as required
- Post-secondary education in Social Work, Psychology, Community Support/Supervisions or a related discipline considered an asset
- Highly self-motivated and able to manage with a minimum of supervision
- Energetic and motivated with a demonstrated ability to motivate others
- Excellent time management and organizational skills a must
- Working knowledge of current Vulnerable Persons legislation an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Possess a valid 5F driver’s license and a car
