Overview
We are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. Position is for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. In this role you will focus on maximizing clinic flow, preparing treatment rooms, sterilization and conducting patient consultations.
This position is ideal for a professional with strong verbal communication skills in English and excels in a fast-paced, teamwork based environment. Looking for someone confident who can take the lead in guiding patients seamlessly through the consultation process, providing continuity of care and is proficient in creating comprehensive, individualized patient treatment plans and has a broad knowledge of diverse dental procedures. Thorough knowledge of Tracker an asset.
Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and implant surgery.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments
- Take and develop dental x-rays.
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software -Tracker
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments in the back.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with certification from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, dental terminology, and infection control practices
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Dentrix and Epic for record management
- Knowledge of dental procedures specific to orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry is highly desirable
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 24.0 per week
