Combine Role of Forklift Driver & Production Associate
Job Description Location: London Facility, H&H Wood Products
H&H Wood Products is seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. The role involves working on the production floor, constructing pallets and assisting in the preparation of raw materials for the production of wood products distributed by our company. The ideal candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities - Production Associate
1. Safe Operation of Forklifts
2. Material Handling & Movement
- Load, unload, transport, stack, and stage raw materials, WIP (work-in-process), and finished goods.
- Ensure loads are balanced, secured, and within equipment capacity limits.
- Handle materials to prevent damage to products, equipment, and infrastructure.
3. Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately complete required forms such as pre-check sheets, shipment logs, and inventory movement records.
- Report incidents, near misses, damaged goods, or any unsafe conditions promptly.
5. Support Production Flow
- Deliver materials to production lines to maintain continuous workflow.
- Remove scrap, pallets, and empty bins as needed.
- Assist with line changeovers, staging products, and organizing materials.
Key Responsibilities - Production Associate
- Pallet and Reel Assembly: Build pallets and/or reels as per company standards.
- Machine Operation Support: Feed and unload equipment with wood of varying sizes and assist machine operators to ensure smooth production processes.
- Quality Control: Monitor for defective parts and inform the Team Leader of maintenance needs.
- Record Keeping: Accurately track time and maintain production logs.
- Team Collaboration: Attend production team meetings and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
- Customer Commitment: Understand that customer satisfaction is the top priority and align work practices to support this goal.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform ongoing physical activities, including standing for the entire shift.
- Work is conducted primarily in the plant, where varying temperatures may be encountered.

Hours: 7am to 4pm
The hourly rate of pay will be adjusted following the competency assessment. Starting Wage $18.40/hr
