Job Description
G&G Eye Doctors is looking for a caring, professional, and patient-focused Optometrist to join our clinic on a part-time basis to provide maternity leave coverage.
We are a modern, growing optometry and optical clinic with a welcoming team, updated diagnostic technology, and a strong focus on providing high-quality eye care in a comfortable and patient-centered environment.
The ideal candidate is friendly, thorough, reliable, and comfortable providing comprehensive eye exams and managing a variety of primary eye care needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose and manage ocular health conditions within scope of practice
- Provide contact lens assessments and fittings as needed
- Educate patients on their eye health, treatment options, and eyewear needs
- Refer patients for further care when appropriate
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Work collaboratively with our optical and administrative team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Optometrists of Ontario
- Professional liability insurance
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with OCT, visual field testing, retinal imaging, and contact lenses is an asset
