Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 5-year culinary cooking experience as a Cook and minimum 2 preferably in bulk kitchen environment.
- Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Culinary School.
- Able to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
- Able to withstand exposure to kitchen equipment includes large and small ovens, stoves, steam kettles, mixers, sheeter, fryers, rational ovens, steamers, tilt skillets, coolers and freezers.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and consistency with recipes and portioning.
- Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to maintain high service levels under pressure
- Able to lift, carry and pull up to 50lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shift
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Prepare and cook all food items according to the recipes and standards.
- Ensuring quality, and freshness, to all food items being prepped.
- Have full knowledge of all menu items. Participate in the creation of new menu and recipes.
- Receiving, and maintaining proper rotation of products in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage using FIFO
- Following all standards set in place by the Chef
- Adhere to and follow HACCP health and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work in any kitchen environment as per the schedule, operation and other duties as assigned
- Prepare daily production of bulk, soup, stew, vegetables items according to the standard recipes
