Duties
- Perform repairs on damaged vehicles, including bodywork, frame straightening, and welding.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the extent of damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines and any additional work needed.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.
Experience
- Previous 5+ experience in automotive repair setting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to auto body repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting (~70 lb).
- Experience as a mechanic or in a related field is advantageous.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
