Caleo Health was initiated as a partnership of Spine Surgeons associated with the University of Calgary along with Spine Focused Physicians, Physiatrists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors & other Allied Health Professionals. Since then Caleo Health has developed and grown to include multiple health care services such as Family Medicine, Rheumatology, Headache & Migraine clinics.
Job Brief
Caleo Health’s Family Medicine department is seeking for a full time, reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to support our clinical teams at our busy practice in NW Calgary. You will provide high quality service and care to patients of all ages, working closely with a team of professionals consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, LPN and Medical Office Assistants (MOAs).
The ideal candidate is a qualified and compassionate LPN professional, experienced in providing diverse care while remaining patient and calm. This is a demanding job but also very rewarding.

Administrative Duties:
· Answering patient inquiries over the phone or in person as required
· Ensure all patient demographics are up to date
· Prepare labels for triplicates as required
· Ordering flu injections and setting up flu clinic for physicians
· Helping out with WCB claims
· Faxing off prescriptions and dealing with insurance requests
· Sending out referrals when coverage is needed
Nursing Duties:
· Ensure vital signs are taken for all presentations and are noted on patient chart
· Screening BP on everyone over 40 years of age
· Set up exam rooms for physicals, gyne exams, and procedures (IUD, Mole removal)
· Assist with procedures as required
· Baby checks/Child CPX
· Call patients with results/any questions they have/when they need to come in next
· INR calls and critical messages for GPs
· Following up with patients re: signs and symptoms
· Calling EMS when necessary, assisting patient and physician until they arrive
· Current medication administration training including vaccinations and injections is an asset.
Clinical Duties:
· Ensuring all exam rooms are stocked with physician preferences for medical supplies
· Ensure procedure cart is full of materials specific to physicians (needles, bandages, scissors etc.)
· Wiping down exam rooms at the end of the day
· Other duties as required
