On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is recruiting an experienced Shipping Clerk for a full-time opportunity in WATERLOO.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time.
Pay Rate: $28.10/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days – Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

- Coordinate and process daily outbound shipments, working closely with warehouse and material handling teams
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation for courier, LTL, live loads, customs, and international shipments
- Check drivers in and out and maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Verify quantities, part numbers, orders, and shipment details to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, and other internal departments regarding shipment requirements and delivery schedules
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inquiries, and documentation issues
- Ensure shipments are processed accurately and on schedule
- Enter and maintain shipment information and records using computer-based systems
- Follow established procedures and support compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards
- Identify and communicate product, process, or quality concerns through established procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational policies
- Perform other shipping and logistics duties as required
- 3–5 years of shipping, logistics, or shipping clerk experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on knowledge of shipping and freight processes
- Experience preparing documentation for courier, LTL, live loads, customs, and international shipments
- Comfortable working with shipping paperwork, orders, part numbers, and quantities where accuracy is critical
- Strong computer skills, including data entry and the ability to learn shipping/ERP systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills when dealing with drivers, customers, carriers, and internal departments
- Good basic math skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
- Valid external forklift (tow motor) licence and operating experience considered a strong asset
- Reliable attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
