Job description:
Our location in Kamloops is expanding! We are looking to hire Machinist or Machinist apprentice. This is a position that will challenge you with its diversity. You will perform work on the saw and the Victaulic grooving machines for machining grooves in pipes of different diameters and wall thicknesses.
Progressive Rubber Industries is a leader in the manufacturing of abrasion and corrosion resistant components for Mining, Oil & Gas and other industries. Requirements and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Machinist certificate, Machining apprentice or machining experience.
- All certifications must be kept current.
- Fill out all QC paperwork completely in full as required.
- Must wear all required PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently, stay on task, be efficient and adhere to time sensitive schedules.
- Have a high skill level with a proven track record of high quality and on time task completion.
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Personable in dealing with coworkers and supervisors.
- Must participate in audits, procedure qualifications and testing.
- Forklift and Crane and Rigging an asset but not required.
- Physically fit.
Working conditions:
- Will likely be asked to work overtime near deadlines.
- Perform tasks in multi-temperature environments.
- May be required to work on day, weekend or afternoon shift.
