About the Role
Trimble Property Services is looking for a part-time Operations Coordinator / Field Support team member to assist with the day-to-day coordination of our cleaning, caretaking, and property service operations.
This is a hands-on position that combines operational coordination, field supervision, site inspections, and cleaning or building coverage when regular staff or a building manager is unavailable.
The role is ideal for someone who is organized, reliable, practical, and comfortable working directly with field staff, building managers, and property managers. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform cleaning and caretaking duties as required, including responding to sick calls, vacations, staffing shortages, emergencies, and other temporary coverage needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, screening, and onboarding field staff.
- Prepare and maintain staff schedules for assigned properties.
- Coordinate coverage for vacations, sick calls, schedule changes, and staffing shortages.
- Personally provide janitorial, caretaking, or building coverage when regular staff or a building manager is unavailable.
- Conduct field audit checks to confirm that cleaning and service standards are being met.
- Review, record, and organize daily reports submitted by field staff.
- Track and record daily staff attendance for payroll purposes.
- Provide direction and support to staff when issues arise at a property.
- Report site concerns, completed work, deficiencies, incidents, and follow-up items to property managers.
- Monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies, equipment, and consumables.
- Order supplies and coordinate replenishment for assigned properties.
- Ensure staff have the supplies and equipment necessary to complete their duties.
- Coordinate supply deliveries or pickups where required.
- Track extra work, special requests, and property-specific instructions.
- Respond to urgent operational needs and escalate serious matters to management as required.
- Support building managers with property inspections, resident or tenant concerns, contractor access, and other general building matters when assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in residential or commercial building operations, cleaning, janitorial services, caretaking, property services, or a related field is preferred.
- Willing and physically able to perform hands-on cleaning, janitorial, and caretaking duties.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple properties, staff members, and competing priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365, email, phone, messaging applications, and basic reporting tools.
- Able to work independently, take initiative, and respond appropriately to changing operational needs.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.
- Must be comfortable travelling between properties as required.
- Flexibility to provide coverage outside the regular schedule may occasionally be required.
- Building Service Worker certification is preferred.
Vehicle and Mileage
This role requires travel between properties for site inspections, staff support, cleaning coverage, building coverage, and supply coordination. Approved business mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment. They should be equally comfortable coordinating staff and schedules, communicating with property managers, conducting inspections, and stepping in to perform cleaning, caretaking, or building coverage when necessary.
The successful candidate will take a practical, hands-on approach and help ensure that Trimble Property Services’ service standards are consistently maintained across all assigned properties.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
