Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team in Haldimand County. This role is vital to our operations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials essential for our excavation projects and community services.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials across various sites.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload materials with care, adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during transportation.
- Assist with site preparation or other tasks as needed to support project goals.
- Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks in a construction or excavation environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking and excavation work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
