Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and Skilled General Labourer to join our team. This role is essential for supporting various construction, maintenance, and installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge in residential construction, strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Assist with construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, and organize materials and supplies on job sites
- Prepare work areas by cleaning or clearing debris and hazards
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, or plumbers in their tasks
- Perform general labor duties including digging, lifting, carrying, and demolition work as needed
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition through proper care and reporting any issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or related fields
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment is a plus but training will be provided
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Punctual and dependable
