Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Associate is an experienced material handler who moves inventory for inbound/outbound trailers with a forklift safely, efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive and transport materials/inventory to various areas inside and outside the facility per instructions, utilizing a forklift and scanning devices, which may include manual handling and sorting of product
- Stage orders on dock to meet shipping deadlines
- Load and unload trucks and trailers
- Inventory cycle counts
- Perform other material handling activities such as inventory counting, weighing, and sorting.
- Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner and perform forklift inspection
- Shrink wrap skids and orders when required
- Shipping and receiving including completing all shipping and receiving documentation, document order discrepancies when required and pass onto appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed to operate a forklift
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment utilizing warehouse software and warehouse management systems
- Previous extensiv experience
- Experience operating material handling equipment (MHE)
- Must be able to use computer-operated machinery
- Ability to measure length, width and height of a truck trailer and length, width and height of filled pallets.
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
