Robert Half Canada is currently seeking a Senior IT Auditor for an opportunity with an established organization. This position will support IT audit and risk activities across a complex systems environment, with a focus on IT SOX compliance, information security, cybersecurity controls, and IT general controls.

Key Responsibilities
IT Audit and Compliance
Support the Senior Audit Manager in delivering an integrated and value-added IT audit function through IT General Controls
Conduct IT audit engagements, including operational audits and SOX testing, using a risk-based approach focused on higher-risk areas
Review IT operational, cybersecurity, and systems controls to assess effectiveness and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements
Ensure audit workpapers and supporting documentation clearly support audit observations and conclusions
Review controls over existing systems to help maintain compliance with regulatory guidance and organizational procedures
Risk Assessment and Planning
Assist with the development and execution of entity-level risk assessments
Identify and assess potential process, technology, and cybersecurity risks across business units
Support audit planning by helping schedule audits and related projects based on available resources, business priorities, and operational needs
Develop risk-based audit procedures, project plans, and work programs to support audit objectives
Audit Execution and Evaluation
Partner with local teams, co-sourced resources, and leaders across the organization to understand business operations and control environments
Assess the design and effectiveness of security controls across global information and technology systems
Conduct detailed reviews of IT systems and infrastructure to evaluate whether controls support secure and effective business operations
Contribute independent analysis related to security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance measures
Conduct penetration and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknesses
Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of security measures designed to protect systems, networks, and organizational data
Assist in troubleshooting security and network issues, including support related to incident response and system breaches
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
3 to 5 years of progressive IT audit experience, including strong exposure to information security
Knowledge of IT audit practices, IT General Controls, SOX compliance, and information security risk management frameworks
Experience with security incident response, analysis, and communication
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, issues, root causes, and practical solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong report-writing, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills
High attention to detail, sound quality review practices, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
CISA or CISSP certification is considered an asset
