The Supply Teacher assists the RECE in providing high quality, developmentally appropriate and enriched activities having children’s individual interests and needs in consideration.
Main Responsibilities:
· Help the RECE to Plan and implements developmentally appropriate activities for children while meeting the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
· Observes and keeps record of children’s development, needs and interests
· Follow and implement all center’s policies and procedures
· Ensures that the program operates in compliance with all the licensing standards
· Participate in meetings as requested
· Participate in mentoring and training students
· Supervise children to guarantee their safety and well-being
· Plan environments and experiences that support intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development and learning through play exploration and inquiry
· Provide a daily balance of active/quiet, indoor/outdoor, and individual/group activities
· Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
· Role model appropriate behavior
- Maintain clear and concise reporting of accidents, injuries, illnesses, as well as conducting health checks of children
· Ensures toys and equipment used in activities are maintained in a safe clean condition and kept in a good state of repair. Sets up activity area and ensures physical environment is safe.
· Provide guidance and ensure correct use of the materials
· Assist with light cleaning
- Fundamental knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, How Does Learning Happen? and Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT)
- Maintains regular communication with parents
· Maintain records (daily log, check lists, Hi Mama reports, etc.)
Physical Conditions and capacities:
· Bending and kneeling thought the day
· Ability to lift 30 pounds

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
